We are proud to have a Parent and Friends Association (PFA) at Abel Smith. Their aim is to provide a link between parents and the school whilst raising funds to help support the children's learning in various ways.  The money that is raised is put toward purchasing things such as books, teaching tools and resources to create an optimum environment for learning. 

All parents of children at the school automatically become members of the PFA which exists to support and advance the education of all the pupils.

The PFA organise and run many fundraising events throughout the school year including: quiz nights, Discos, Abel Smith Halloween Spooky Trails, a Summer Fête and a Winter Warmer.

The money raised from these events has been used to purchase:

• New books for the reading scheme
• Contribution to Chromebooks used across the school
• Interactive whiteboards used in every classroom
• Teacher laptops 
• Contribution to Christmas events such as buying Christmas crackers for Christmas Dinner 
• Ice lollies after Sports Day
