Starting school is a very important milestone in every child's life. As a parent / carer, you have a vital role to play in helping your child take the first steps on their learning journey. At Abel Smith we are keen to work with you to make sure that starting school is a positive experience for your child, and that they achieve their full potential in a warm and caring environment.
The school carries out its own admission process for Nursery class places, whereas the County Council is responsible for Reception and the In-years admissions processes. For further information on all of these please use the links below:
Our Nursery application process for places starting in September 2024 will open on Thursday 1st February 2024. If your child was born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021 they will be eligible to start Nursery in September 2024. At Abel Smith, we offer 30-hour provision for Nursery children through a lunch club and afternoon Nursery session.
