In Year 5 we have been ending the year with celebration days linked to our learning. On Tuesday, our teachers prepared a Greek ‘meze’ for us to share: Greek salad, koftas, pitta bread, hummus, tzatziki, fruit kebabs and Greek yogurt with honey. It was delicious and a fun way to finish our Topic about Greeks.
The following day, Mrs Sneddon organised a French day and we shared Croissants and juice for our breakfast and engaged in fun activities throughout the day – we even played a game of French Boules!
Some of us are now looking forward to visiting France or Greece for our summer holidays – and sampling more of the lovely food and learning even more about the culture of each country!
