Year 6 returned from their annual trip to
Torquay, before half term, very tired but having had a truly
great time. It was a fun packed week with plenty of experiences
for everyone.
Libby said, “It was great to be away from our
parents for a week and to be doing lots of fun things with our
friends.” Seph added that visiting places he had never been to
before was very interesting.

Both Libby and Seph enjoyed Wookey Hole: going
through the caves hearing about the Wookey Hole story and the legend
of the witch. Libby described it as it was ‘fun
and spooky’.

A further highlight of their week was Canonteign
Falls—a longish walk up hill through the
woods and down again, taking in the picturesque scenery and
waterfall. Seph felt the waterfall looked great and he also enjoyed
the walk up and down. The weather was superb and we had a great time
at the beach building sandcastles and paddling in the sea!

Relaxing on the Hawaiian Night |
The guests of the hotel were thoroughly
entertained on a couple of evenings by the children dancing at the
disco.
The class were a delight on the trip and were a
real credit to the school. The guests in the hotel were full of
praise and kind words about their behaviour and their manners.
For many the children made their holiday. We are all very proud
of them. We have received a number of letters from guests at the
hotel complimenting the children. So a big thank you to all the
children.
